Black Rock Estates located off of Mount Aetna, across from the Black Rock golf course is near the Meritus Medical Center and the Hagerstown Community College (HCC) along with a lot of other businesses.
Located directly across Mount Aetna from this neighborhood is the Black Rock golf course and next to that is the county regional park which houses softball fields with bleacher seating, two multi-purpose fields with bleacher seating, a playground, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, pavilions and it is the home of the ditto farms 36 whole disc golf course.
There are 166 parcels in this neighborhood. Most of the lots have been built on, and average between 0.46 acres up to 1.66 with an average around a half an acre.
Most of the homes have between 3 to 7 bedrooms, the average is around 4. The bathrooms are between 2.5 and 5.3 with it being an average of 3.5 per home. These homes were built between 1994 and 2016.
The square footage of these homes run from the low 2000s all the way up to and I hope you're sitting down, 13,737 finished square feet in the living area, but the average square footage is around 4,000.
In 2020 nine homes sold: one sold for $425k, one sold for $1.1 million and the rest of them sold in the $500s.
Most every one of these homes is all brick, 14 of these homes have pools and all of these homes have basements.
There is an HOA in this neighborhood and it runs only 100 a year (as of 2020)
There is one home that is the exception to most of those numbers, it has never been on the market since it was built. The public records show that it has over 13,000 finish square feet on the main living area and another 5,800 finished square feet in the basement! It also has an exception on the lot size at 4.45 acres. But most shocking to me is that it has eleven and a half bathrooms! That's an awful lot of toilets to have to keep clean....
Apparently i picked trash day to do my tour of this neighborhood but that just shows that there is available trash pickup
